Temporary closure of Sentiero Valtellina

Starting from July 1, 2025: Due to a landslide in the Municipality of Valdisotto the provincial road, the Sentiero Valtellina, and the access road to San Bartolomeo are closed.

The Sentiero Valtellina is a cycle-pedestrian path that develops along the Adda river
between Colico and Bormio, for a total distance of 114 km.
Along the route, immersed in greenery and embraced by the Rhaetian Alps with their characteristic vine terraces and the Orobic Alps, you can discover at a slow pace the small villages and the landscape and natural beauties of Valtellina.
There are many equipped rest areas and bike rental points, as well as accommodation and dining facilities where you can taste the rich local food and wine tradition.

The presence of the railway along much of the route allows for
convenient access and connection points to the Sentiero Valtellina.

The creation of the path was made possible thanks to the interventions of the Mountain Communities of Valtellina which,
each within their own area of competence, invested in the creation and maintenance of the route.
